Live Operations

LiveOps & Game Design Lead

Full-Time Remote (Worldwide) $72k–$90k + up to 15% quarterly performance bonus Posted 8/14/2026

Run the day-to-day operations of our live Roblox portfolio with billions of lifetime visits as our first dedicated operations leader!

About Turning Tables

Turning Tables is a Roblox game studio operating one of the platform's most prolific live portfolios: 70+ published experiences spanning casual, social, simulator, and viral-trend genres, with billions of lifetime visits and thousands of concurrent players at any given moment. We move fast, ship constantly, and run many of our games as live products that can be measured, tuned, and grown.

We're hiring our first dedicated operations leader. You'll own the day-to-day health of the entire live portfolio — and as the studio grows, you'll build and lead the team around it.

The Role

You are the person who makes sure every live game gets better every week. You'll set the content and event cadence across the portfolio, design and balance the systems that keep players engaged and spending, and run production so updates actually ship on time. You'll direct developers and contractors rather than writing production code yourself — though you should be comfortable prototyping in Roblox Studio and using AI tools to move fast on configs, balancing scripts, and quick experiments.

This is a first-ops-hire role with a leadership track: start hands-on, prove the operating system, then grow the team underneath you.

What You'll Do

  • Run LiveOps: own the update and event calendar across all live titles — seasonal events, trend-reactive content, weekly beats that keep games fresh and favored by Roblox discovery.
  • Design & balance: tune economies, progression, monetization, and gameplay systems across a diverse portfolio; write clear specs and direct implementation.
  • Drive production: manage schedules, contractors, QA, and release pipelines across multiple simultaneous workstreams; unblock people and keep the trains running.
  • Watch the numbers: monitor KPIs (retention, session length, ARPDAU, discovery metrics), spot problems early, and turn data into a prioritized action plan.
  • Stay hands-on where it counts: prototype ideas in Roblox Studio, leaning on AI-assisted programming for quick iterations, while delegating production implementation to the dev team.
  • Represent Turning Tables: attend industry conferences — including the Roblox Developers Conference (RDC) — in an official capacity as the face of our live games. Travel and expenses covered.
  • Build the operating system: define the playbooks, cadences, and tooling that will let us scale the portfolio — and eventually the team you'll hire and lead.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years on Roblox: shipping and operating live Roblox experiences — you know Creator Hub analytics, the discovery/recommendation algorithm, monetization norms, and what makes Roblox players tick.
  • Systems design instincts: you've designed or tuned game economies, progression systems, and events, and can explain the why behind every change.
  • Producer's discipline: you can juggle many small games at once, prioritize ruthlessly, and communicate clearly with developers, artists, and contractors.
  • Light technical fluency: comfortable in Roblox Studio and with Luau at a read/tweak level; fluent with AI coding tools to prototype without waiting on engineers.
  • Data-driven mindset: you form hypotheses, run experiments, and let KPIs settle debates.
  • Confident communicator: comfortable representing the studio in public and professional settings, from conference floors to partner calls.
  • Self-directed: thrives with autonomy in a remote, fast-shipping environment; bias toward action over process.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $72,000–$90,000 USD — competitive for senior live-game roles at an independent studio.
  • Quarterly performance bonus (up to 15% of base): every quarter your performance is graded against clear expectations for the role. Based on your grade you receive up to 15% bonus of base salary. Simple, transparent, and paid out every quarter.
  • Fully remote, worldwide: work from anywhere in the world; async-friendly culture built around a globally distributed portfolio.
  • Conference travel: attend RDC and other industry events representing Turning Tables, fully expensed.
  • Growth path to Head of Live Games: this is the first dedicated ops hire — you'll shape the role, the playbook, and eventually the team.
